Celtic Moon Rising is a 2007 model,
Friesian Sport Horse bay colt by
Valhalla Rising out of AG Chicago. He is
an excellent stallion prospect. He is
one of the last living sons of the late
Valhalla Rising , and grandson of the
late Roi Des Blues (Celtic.)
Celtic's dam is a granddaughter of El
Paso who has quite a unique history. He
was described as "the horse that money
couldn't buy." He was exported to the US
from Poland in 1975 on a lease. In 1976
he became the US National Champion
Stallion at Scottsdale. He was Raced in
Poland. April's dam is double bred
Raffles (thru her dam) imported from
Crabbet Stud in the UK to the US in
1932. He was a line bred son of
Skowronek said by some to be "the
greatest contributing factor to Arabians
in America." Valhalla Rising is the late
Friesian son of the late 17 hand Celtic
(Roi Des Blues). Valhalla was not "line
bred" which shows in his wonderful
disposition. He is black and has no
auburn. Valhalla's dam is a daughter of
Nero. Famed Olympic Dressage Rider,
Hilda Gurney said, "Nero is one of the
nicest moving Friesians I have seen".
She also noted his very nice
temperament. Valhalla's dam's dam is
Tainted Virtue, ASHA# 101835 by

Swinging Miss. Celtic Moon Rising has
