Anastasia is a great prospect for team
penning, reining or other Western
events. She's very, very athletic and
has the natural moves and instincts of a
horse that’s been bred to work cattle.
She's not been tested with cows, but
we've watched as she effortlessly took
charge of a herd of mares and moved them
around the field.
Anastasia has
been in training under saddle for almost
a year. Her trainer uses natural
horsemanship techniques, using his
energy, posture, body movement and
expression to get her to do what he
asks. He's spent a lot of time teaching
her to be soft to the bit and to the
slightest pressure of leg or rein and
has taught her proper carriage and
movement.
Anastasia’s trainer
says that she's a blast to ride, but she
needs an experienced, confident rider
who knows how to handle it if she tries
to take charge. He's happy to talk with
any prospective owner.
