Zippy is a great all-around horse. He is
gorgeous and a great build for an
arabian. He is registered.
I am ONLY
selling him because I cannot afford 3
horses. He has been used as a lesson
horse before and has shown successfully,
especially in hunter.
He is great for
any level rider. However, he does pick
up if you know absolutely NOTHING. My
sister learned to ride on him (he was
the 1st horse she ever rode). She did
great learning on him.
I put him in 1
month of additional training (this
month) and the trainer LOVES him (which
makes it harder to sell him). He said
he is VERY smart, a willing and super
fast learner, and works hard.
I
have done mostly trail riding with him
and he is non-spooky for an arabian. He
takes care of the rider. My sister fell
off of him twice (due to her lack of
riding and her being off balance in the
saddle) and he just stopped and waited
for her to get back on. He will take
care of the rider once he bonds with
you...if your feet come out of the
stirrups, he stops for you. One time on
a trail ride, he jumped over a big log
(did not know he was going to jump it)
and I flew on his head and he
immediately stopped (even though the
rest of the group was in front of us)
and waited for me to get off and back
on.
Zippy has a great personality.
He is the 1st horse to run over to you
in the pasture and wants all the
attention. He is super easy to catch
because he just comes over to you when
called.
If you like jumping, he
will be perfect for you. He LOVES to
jump. He has no problem jumping if you
want him to and actually really likes
it. I think his best is 2'6" but he can
jump higher. He is smart with jumping
and was previously used to teach
beginner riders how to jump.
I have
mainly trail rode with him and he has
done great. He goes over bridges
without hesitation. He will go in water
and mud and down ditches, etc. He
prefers to follow, but will lead if you
ask him. I have taken him out alone too
and he has done fine.
I use Mitch
White as the ferrier and he says he has
awesome feet (one of the best on our
farm. He referred to them as mustang
feet). He is very well behaved for the
ferrier and vet and good with all ground
manners.
He has just gotten some
awesome training from a mexican cowboy
at my stable. Like I said, I am very sad
to sell him, especially now with the
additional training, and he must go to a
loving home.
He stays out in the
pasture now and gets along fine with all
the horses.
His gaits are very
smooth and he has a very controlled
cantor.
He would be great for
showing, jumping, trail riding...really
anything. He is very healthy and is UTD
on everything. I know once you come see
him, you will really like him. He also
really bonds with people and really
seems to love all the attention he can
get!
