Love That Sunrise aka ''Reba'' is an 8
year old, MFT registered, 14.2 hand,
sorrel mare by southern Sunrise out of
Lovelace #1. Trained for Trail and has
been shown.
She was shown as a 2 year
old at the Big Sky show placed second
in the open division two gait event.
Reba's sire, Southern Sunrise, is one
of the Most Celebrated stallions of the
MFT breed. He had sired more champion
foxtrotters by age 12 than any horse in
foxtrotter history. Close to 240 of his
offspring are in the MFT Breeders' Cup
Winners Circle. Reba's dam, Lovelace # 1
placed 4th at the World Foxtrotter
Celebration under saddle when she was a
four year old. This was in a very large
class. Reba was ridden on the trail all
last summer (2007)by her owner's wife
who is a beginner. Reba is being ridden
and conditioned now so she will be ready
for the trails soon. She is what Paul
would call a traveler. She really likes
to move on the trail. She is great on
all ground work and loves people. Reba
was bred and trained by Master Trainer
Bill Free of Florence, Montana. He has
spent over 35 years breeding, training,
showing, and judging MFT. Bill won the
MFTHBA World Championship in halter,
and in 2004 he was inducted into the
Fox Trotter Hall of Fame. Trail Rider
Magazine features a gelding bred by
Bill Free, and now owned by Charlene
Krone. Her husband, Kent Krone, had a
difficult time locating another MFT that
could keep up with Charlene's gelding,
