Sahirs Valentine (registered AHA) turned
9 on February 14 this year. She is a
very pretty chestnut with no white. I
bought her last year and she had limited
undersaddle time and had not been off
the farm in years. I started her in the
Parelli program and am well into Level
2. She loves her person, neighs when
she sees you and usually runs to the
gate. I have completed with her in
Limited Distance Endurance once, and
done many conditioning rides. I rode
her 19miles of a 30mile LD endurance
ride, but rider option pulled after the
first loop due to my medical condition
requiring me to have a VP shunt, and
didn't start another ride that we were
entered in due to my shoulder injury.
She does well in camp in an electric
tape 12x12 pen. I have been riding her
in a Dr Cooks bitless bridle.
She is
your typical arab but not super spooky
when she can see things, but she can
startle. She doesn't try to take off,
but either stops or goes sideways when
she does spook. I took her to a
dressage schooling show last summer in
Intro level and she had never seen a
judges booth or been in a show and she
did great. She is doing well over small
crossrails and log jumps.
She needs a
confident rider and someone willing to
take the time with her. She's very
smart and loves interaction with her
human! She is also barefoot and has
never had shoes.
I am selling her
because I feel like I weigh too much for
her (I am a heavyweight rider).
