Dusty is a 6 year old, registered
half-welsh gelding. His dam was a
half-arabian pony by national top ten
Arabian stallion El Aramus. Dusty has
wonderful action for a guy his size. He
has been trained using Clinton Anderson/
natural horsemanship methods. He has
been harnessed (nothing to hitch him to,
so just ground driving). He has had
round pen work with a saddle (double
lines, single lines and no lines at
all). He has had a child led around on
his back, but the child did not have
enough horse experience to handle him on
his own. I am too big to do any
extensive work under saddle with him but
have done basic walk, trot, stop and
back with him bareback and with a
treeless saddle with no issues. He has
nice ground manners and is good for vet
and farrier. He is haldled daily and
ridden/worked regularly. Although Dusty
is a gelding, he is "proud cut" and does
still have stallion attitude with other
horses. He's always a perfect gentleman
with humans. He has been pastured with
broodmares and next to stallions, he
does annoy the stallions, but the mares
ignore him. He's also a teaser in the
pasture and has helped us catch mares in
season. He needs a special home with
someone who has experience. Price may
increase with age and training.
