"Oz" is an awesome horse!! I really hate
to get rid of him. I am looking for a
forever home for this beautiful boy. He
has 2 stockings in the front and 2 socks
in the back. He also has a star and a
snip and a beautiful flaxen mane and
tail. I bought him when he was four and
I had to start his training all over
again basically, from the ground up. He
rides saddle seat and western. I also
started training him to cart (just with
the poles) and he did really well. I was
actually suprised at how well he did!!
He would make a gorgeous driving horse
for someone that had time and patience
to work with him. We have shown 4 times
and always placed in the top 4. He
lunges, long lines, bathes well, stands
for the farrier, etc. I have since had
two children in the past two years and
feel I do not have the time that he
deserves. He has not been ridden in
about 2 years, but he has been long
lined and lunged often. I am planning on
starting to ride him again since I am
healing up from having my second child.
I was thinking maybe he does not want to
be a show horse and maybe he wants to be
more of a practice/trail
horse/companion. He has wonderful show
qualities though. He has a gorgeous swan
neck and he knows how to set his head!!
He does not have a lot of natural motion
and I never pushed for HUGE animation
out of him because where I got him from
they just pushed him way too hard way
too fast. We showed Country Pleasure. It
would be the buyers decision. He is
registered ASHA. "Oz" was my first horse
that I always said, "I am never going to
sell him." But here I am selling him. He
deserves more though and I know I am
doing the right thing for him. He needs
to find a home fairly quickly as we are
needing to move out of where we are
living and that is where he stays. All
of our horses are for sale. Make an
offer. I need to downsize quickly!!
