Gypsy 15Yrs 14.1HH
Bay w/ Blaze & 3
white socks
Used as youth camp horse
until 2006 and had a 2 year break until
I got her and has been letting my son
have rides on her back (lead around by
me).
Enjoys being with kids and other
people more then other horses. Goes out
alone or in group prefers group and does
not do anything bad at all when going
out alone.
Is foundered in front
right hoof and front hooves are just
about back to normal. Her front hooves
grow fast with her being on pasture 24/7
and has been getting trimmed every 6-7
weeks. No shoes needed for her at all as
front shoes will make her front hooves
more sore due to her being
foundered.
She has shoulder sweeny
which is why she is missing her muscle
in her left shoulder which once her
foundering is under more control should
only cause her to limp a little and not
alot like the founder does. I talked to
my vet about it and there is no medical
help for this and some of her muscle
will come back but not all since sweeny
is due to a nerve that was probably hit
in the right spot really hard with
something and killed that nerve.
Must
use the type of horse boots that are
made for riding a horse that will stay
on her hoof if riding out on a easy
going trail ride as I got one to put on
her foundered hoof when just taking her
out on walks or anything like that and
she knows how to slip it off.
Very
easy keeper on pasture and grain.
If
she was sound she would probably not be
for sale as since she is foundered I do
not want too much weight on her and
cannot ride her on trail rides.
I use
a light weight synthetic saddle on her.
She does neck rein and saddles up
quietly and listens to your every leg,
voice, and rein command.
Gypsy is up
to date on wormings and will need her
shots and coggins and another trim
before leaving which new owner will be
resonsible for.
Would like to get her
a good home before it gets really cold
out with a family who just wants
something the kids can lead around and
take care of her by themselves and start
learning to ride on her if you don't
want your kids going faster then a walk
right away. I want her to go to good
home where kids can enjoy her and
parents do not have to worry about kids
being around her no matter where Gypsy
is at cause she is 100% Bombproof. My
cousins 2yr old daughter can walk around
her and pet her where ever with adult
supervision and Gypsy does no
wrong.
Winter is coming up and I have
no space at home to seperate her from
the other horses. I have her in a
pasture that is costing me a $1 a day
for her but expenses for the horses
during the winter I will be spending
more on buying them hay and grain during
winter and cannot afford to keep her
this winter. Plus I Am Getting A Second
Job To Keep Up With Winter Expenses So
Do Not Pass Her Up Due To Her Foundered
Leg And Shoulder Sweeny. You Won't find
a better babysitting pony like her that
is pretty to look at and a joy to
have.
