Don't let his name fool you Rocket is
one of the most laid back horses you
will ever meet. Rocket is UTD on his
shots, has a neg coggins for 2008 and
had his teeth floated in June of 2007.
He is a bay with a small white star. He
is 13 years old and about 16.1. He
stands for the farrier with no problems,
clips, bathes, and loads with no
problems. He is calm and does anything
we ask. He picks up both his trott and
canter with no fights at all, which is
great for my husband. My husband is new
to riding and has no troubles getting
Rocket to go. I have rode him both
english and western. If asked he will
tuck his nose and collect up. When I
ride Rocket western, he will lower his
head and walk around. I have taken him
on the trails by myself and never had
any problems. He is such a natural
athelete that my husband is rides him in
open speed shows (for fun.) Rocket is
the type of horse that you can put
beginners on and have no worries. We
have had kids from the age of 2 to 14
on him and many first time adult riders.
He has big kind eyes and a thick thick
mane. He acts more like a quarter horse
than a thoroughbred, which is great for
first time riders. I think Rocket could
do anything from speed, to western, to
english pleasure to dressage.
I
am selling him because my husband is a
quick learner and we are looking for a
speed horse for him. He also does not
get rode enough becasue I am trying to
finish out my barrel horse.
