Jack was my first horse and I've had him
for the past 12 years. I've currently
been boarding him at a local self-care
barn, but have found myself needing to
move him, which is why I'm offering him
for free-lease to a kind, loving home.
Jack is now in retirement, after being
diagnosed with Navicular three years
ago. With corrective trimming, he is now
barefoot and able to go on light trail
rides (walk, some trot). He's a GREAT
trail horse...safe and sane. I prefer to
keep him stall-boarded year-round and he
keeps his stall extremely tidy. He's an
easy-keeper when kept on grass and
doesn't need to be blanketed in the
winter. Jack ties, loads, bathes, clips,
has no vices, gets along well with other
horses, and respects his stall and
fences. You can deworm and vaccinate him
one-handed and he's great for the vet
and farrier. My farrier will actually
come and work on Jack in his stall,
completely unrestrained, with absolutely
no one at the barn to help him...that's
how well-behaved he is. He's UTD on
shots, Coggins, and deworming.
Jack
would be perfect as a companion for
another horse or simply as a horse for
someone to enjoy, love, and spoil. If
interested, please email me. I would
like to keep him in the Mt. Airy area
(since I will definitely be visiting
him), but am open to something further
away if it's a good home. Please expect
me to inspect your farm before deciding
on anything. Thank you!
