Pride was our very first baby. We
purchased him and his Mommy when he was
4 months old. He has had constant human
attention since and just loves the human
touch. He has been started under saddle
and has never bucked once. When we first
weaned him from his Mommy, he jumped
over the gate to be with her. We knew
then, we had a jumper. He is very gentle
and learns quickly. He is extemely smart
and can open almost any door/gate if it
is not very securely latched. Our
trainer was surprised as to how quickly
Pride learned and how quickly he was
able to get on Pride's back. He used the
horse whisperer technigue. I can't say
enough about Pride, He is a real
sweetheart.
He has a calm and
trusting disposition. For example, he
got loose in the barn one day -- got
himself pinned in a corner, waited
patiently for us to arrive. I had to
remove piles of stuff to get him out. he
just stood there as calm as can be. In
our view, he would make a great all
around pleasure and trail horse. When
gelded, the vet took 2 measurements on
him and said he should end up at 16.2
hands. He is currently a solid 15, so
16 to 16.2 hands is probably about
right. Please call (814-395-5835) or
