Stormy has a club foot but he is sound
on it. The farrier feels he does not
need corrective trimming or shoeing as
it will damage his tendons and it's best
to leave him alone and keep him trimmed
at the angles he is at. He is not
gaited (probably due to the club foot),
but is still a sweet gelding and will
make a nice trail horse for a light
weight rider. He had training as a 3 yr
old but definitely needs a refresher
course. No buck in him (my nephew got
on him last month and he was fine, just
didn't remember much) and is willing to
do anything asked of him. If he is left
too long in between trims he will go off
in his gait at a trot as he can't break
over. He is not lame. My boarder gave
him to me as he (the boarder, not the
horse) was ill off and on and just
didn't have the time or energy for him.
A good home is a must with vet and
farrier references.
