What a Royal Storm "Duke" is a
registered QH, great grandson of
IMPRESSIVE. He is 11 yrs. old 14.2
hands, and stocky built. Up to date on
coggins and shots. He is sound and has
no health issues. I have owned him for 3
years and am only selling b/c I'd like
to get a gaited horse instead. He is a
great trail horse, will go thru
anything. He is slow, steady, and sure
footed. Won't take off if the other
horses around him do. If he spooks, he
just jumps, he's never bloted. I've had
him on rides close to 6 hours long (of
course we conditioned for it first). He
is a very easy keeper and he only gets a
hand full of grain 2x's a day and
pasture. I only get his fronts shod. I
do get pads on if I know I'm going to do
some long, hard riding, b/c he has
gotten sore without them.
I would
recommend an intermediate rider because
he can, sometimes, pop up his back end
when starting to canter, but nothing
major. He could be broke of that with
some time, which I have little of. Email
