Adoption - ATTENTION EVENTERS!!! This
one's a winner! Poker is an OTTB that is
now progressing wonderfully under
saddle, great on the trails and going
beautifully at the w/t/c in the ring. We
took her over some small jumps just to
see how she'd do and she did great for
her first time. Poker would be a perfect
horse for someone who wants to seriously
compete in any English
discipline...especially Eventing. I've
never seen a horse more content when at
work. She relaxes when she's given a
job...it's amazing. Her work ethic,
athleticism, and stamina make her the
ultimate horse for the competitive
rider. She requires an advanced rider.
Poker is good for the vet and farrier,
ties for feed and grooming, and is UTD
on all shots, Coggins, and deworming.

within the states of MD, PA, VA, and DE,
and then only within a 100 mile radius
of DEFHR. First-time horse owners will
not be considered for adoption unless
they will be boarding the horse at a
licensed boarding facility. All horses
adopted from DEFHR are required to have
at least one other horse as a companion
at their new home. **
