Sargent is a 15.3 hand, 7 year old Bay
TB. I purchased him in Jan of last year
as a project horse while my mare was
recuperating from an injury. A fast
learner, he was soon eventing. He
completed Beginner Novice at UNH and
King Oak. A great mover, Sargent was
quickly eventing at the Novice Level. He
won his first Novice on his dressage
score at Mystic Valley Hunt Club in CT.
He continued on through the summer to
complete GHF I, Stoneleigh Burnham (2nd
place in a large crowd), Kingsbury Hill,
and Snowfields.
This year, Sargent
won't be competeing, as I don't have
time to compete three horses! He does
enjoy being a "babysitter" when our two
year old goes to shows. He is hanging
out, being ridden often by myself and my
boarders. Had I the time, he would have
been ready to compete at Training level
by now.
He is great with the
farrier, vet, and dentist (without
sedation even!). He is the only horse
that I can clip who doesn't try to eat
the clippers. He walks right on the
trailer and will stay on it or tied to
it all day quietly at the show. He gets
along great with every horse I've ever
had him with, I've even trailered him
with our stallion and he could care
less.
He has a great personality and
work ethic. He needs more exposure to
the bigger shows. I feel that with more
exposure and experience from an
experienced rider he would be a
fantastic kid's horse. He loves people
and attention, and needs to go to a home
where he will be loved and doted on!
