Trooper is a well broke but not well
trained camp horse. He was in the camp
program from the time he was 4 until he
was 11 and was used for the timid and
new riders. He is 16HH - but built so
perfectly proportioned that from a
distance he looks like a small horse -
you have to stand right beside him to
appreciate how big he is. He is very
suitable for a 4H horse - or a good
family horse that the kids can ride, mom
can ride and even Dad - as he looks like
a man's horse - he's big and he's
strong. He has one draw back which is
keeping his price down and in an
affordable range for a horse of his
calibre. He has a mild case of heaves -
which is easily dealt with and for the
most part does not affect him. He is
being sold with a 2 year user guarantee
for this reason - email for more info on
how to deal with a horse with heaves and
how much it affects him. Email for more
info and we will email a link to his
page on our website - includes short
video of him being ridden and saddled.
He is an excamp horse and goes excellent
nose to tail - but also seems to be very
good independently as well - does not
seem to be barn sour or buddy sour. He
is well broke - stops well, goes when
asked - but is not well trained. He
does neck rein but was never taught
properly so he rides better with two
soft gentle hands - but can be ridden
with one hand as well. He doesn't know
a lot about leg pressure but is learning
quickly. Here's a great opportunity to
own a fine horse at half the price he's
worth - a great starter horse for the
right family.
