Godiva is a 16.1hh, 6 year old Bay
Oldenburg/TB mare. Sired by Von Eden
(who is out of Volturno) and County
Kate.
Diva is eligible to be
registered Part Canadian Sport Horse.
She is a beautiful mare who is
conformationally perfect for Dressage.
She is in training 5 days a week and her
training is focusing on Dressage. Her
coach feels that she has the potential
to be an upper level Dressage horse as
her movements are very smooth and
correct.
Diva walks and trots under
saddle and does canter although due to
continually growing the focus of her
training has not been on
cantering.
She halters, lead, ties,
cross ties, ground ties, is very forward
off the leg, has started her laterals,
goes nicely off the bit, has 3 naturally
free and flowing gaits. She is very
correct in her movements and has a
natural rhythm and self
carriage.
Diva is recommended for an
advanced intermediate rider, in order to
further her career and training.
Although her training has focused on
dressage, she would also be a prospect,
for jumping, eventing and as all around
high calibre show prospect. After her
show career she will make an excellent
breeding mare. She has an excellent
working attitude, tries to please her
rider and a sound and quick mind which
enables her to learn quickly.
Although Diva's training has focused
around dressage, she would excel at
Eventing or jumping. She is very
athletic and forward moving off the leg.
She has not been jumped with the
exception of a few x-rails at a canter,
due to her age and her owner’s interest
has been focusing on Dressage.
Diva
attended a John MacPherson Clinic and he
commented on her lovely natural
movement.
She is only being offered
for sale as her owner is attending
University in the fall. Diva will be
shown this summer if not sold.
Her
owner feels that she has great deal of
talent that should not be
wasted.
Diva is UTD with her
vaccinations and farrier care. She lives
in or out.
She resembles her
grandsire that great Volturno a great
deal. At the 1972 Oldenburg stallion
approvals Volturno received a '10' in
canter and cross-country jumping.
