Fritz has been great with us, he's
beautiful and has minimal miles on him.
He was broke out and trained for
barrels, used for a couple of years, and
then hung out in a pasture until we got
him 3 years ago.
He has done
trail rides for riders as young as 7 (in
groups) and does great with riders who
don't know much. Very calm on a loose
rein, but starts looking to where you
might send him when you take ahold of
his face and turn him. We've used him
for english and trails and he is great!
As for his experience in barrels
I can't say a whole lot, we've spent the
time keeping him consistant and have not
let him run barrels because we want him
to be calm on trails and I've not wanted
to send him mixed signals.
I
would say he needs an intermediate
rider. He stops and steers and has never
shown any desire to run off, but he does
canter FAST! However you can rate his
speed, you just need to ask
him.
