Our two youngest children are getting
too big for Merrylegs, so we're offering
her to a good home. Technically a grey,
Merry's chocolate brown coat, white
socks, mane, and tail make her one
attractive little lady. Add in her
hackney trot and she's a real stunner.
She'd make a lovely driving
pony.
Merry leads, loads, backs,
and stands for farriery. (We've
maintained her feet with barefoot
trims.) She loves children, and they can
touch, groom or pet her anywhere. She'll
give pony rides all
afternoon.
Merry has a sassy,
bright personality, and needs to be
handled with firmness, kindness, and
consistency. She's very intelligent, and
quick to learn with praise. She sees
children as little ones to care for, not
to obey, so she's not a "kids alone"
type of horse. She will follow, though,
if a child is consistent in expressing
leadership, playing leading games,
etc.
A unique pony and our
children's special friend, we'll only
consider selling Merry to a good
home.

trading for a calm, kid-safe mare or
gelding 14hh or above - quarter horse
preferred, no TWHs.
