Apollo is a special horse and needs a
special home. He was a pasture pet,
never broke and just hung around. He is
a sweet horse, likes people, is alpha in
the "boy" pasture but gets along with
others. His owner had him since birth
but due to illness could no longer take
care of him. We have done a little work
with him but he needs a lot more. We've
worked him in the round pen, ridden him
lightly bareback in a hackamore at the
walk only and have hooked him to harness
but not to cart. I do not recommend
Apollo to a beginner (maybe only for a
pasture pet). He handles well on the
ground, has good manners and is a nice
boy to be around, but to ride he needs
much more work by a professional or
natural horseman training. For that
price we will determine a proper fit by
phone only-so serious buyer email or
call-video's are available after we've
determined a proper fit before
finalizing the placement.
