pics and video’s. Buck’s Gold Duster
(AKA Buck) is a 14.3hh growing to
15.1hh, 3 yr old, Golden Dappled
Buckskin, Gelding! He is registered
Kentucky Natural Gaited. Buck was raised
in the mountains of rural Eastern
Kentucky. He was imprinted at birth and
has been a little girl’s best friend. He
was started and trail ridden by the
little 8 year old girl. After school
Buck and his “girl-friend” was sure to
be out on the trails, even on rainy
days, grooming including braiding his
mane and tail would occupy the
afternoons. He has been ridden more
miles on trails than most 6 year old
horses. He has been on many camping
trips, to numerous Saturday night shows,
just about never missed a Sunday after
church ride and he has been ridden in
multiple states. Due to the slowing
economy, this family was in a financial
struggle and was forced to sell their
horses, including Buck. Now he is
looking for a new loving home and a new
best friend! He is easy to catch, clip,
bath, tack-up, load, and handle in
anyway. Buck has a sweet personality and
loves attention. Buck is very gentle, is
safe for most beginners to ride and has
been trail ridden by kids. Buck will
lead or follow in a crowd just fine and
also rides great alone. He will flat
foot walk on a loose rein but will move
out when asked. Buck has a natural
runwalking gait where he will nod his
head and he can pick on up and Rack to
about 8mph and has a nice Canter past
that! He has been shown in Country and
Trail Pleasure Classes and has placed
well. Buck has had 3 months of
professional gaiting, trail and
bombproof training. He has been ridden
around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large
noisy tarps and has also had guns shot
off of his back. Just like everything we
say about our horses, we have the videos
to prove it, on our website. No matter
where he goes or what he does, Buck is
always steady. On the trails he is
always great, never spooks and is close
to bombproof! Buck has been exposed to
all kinds of wildlife such as deer or
turkey or other animals like cows or
dogs and will go anywhere that he is
asked too. He has been rode many miles
in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and
encountered every obstacle possible on
the trail. He will go up or down even
the steepest slopes, across deep creeks,
over downed trees, and over all types of
rough terrain while still being sure
footed. He has been rode in traffic, and
is very traffic safe around cars, semi,
log, and dump trucks. He has a great
personality and a great attitude about
whatever he is asked to do. Don’t miss
him! Feel free to call me with any
questions.
