Sophie is a 9 year old Quarter Horse
Cross (probably Arabian). She is a very
sweet horse, good ground manners, loads,
bathes, loves to be groomed. Sophie
would make a great endurance trail horse
- she is energetic. She responds easily
off the leg and has a beautiful trot.
If you are into timed events - she is
fast too. She is an extremely easy
keeper - she requires no grain and stays
fat on grass and hay (in winter). She
has great solid hooves too - has never
needed shoes.
I have let my kids
ride her and given lessons on her
without any problem. She would do well
with an advanced rider and one that
could spend more time riding than I can.
Sophie has been ridden english and
western - she rides with either a
hackamore or a bit. I will also
consider trading her for a beginner's
trail horse about the same age and type.
