Mannie, Bay Thoroughbred For Sale in Nebraska
$ 10,000
Mannie is a dark bay with only small bit of white around a hind cornet. He has solid basics in the arena- a balanced and collected w/t/c- he knows his leads, simple changes, lateral movements at walk/trot, flexs both way, soft mouth, nice soft gaits and round back. Will ride in either English or Western tack, soft snaffle bit, and been started on neck reining.
Virtually spook proof and with a little finishing, this horse could make a very nice pony club horse, hunter/jumper, medium level dressage (very uphill build and movement), fox hunter, eventer, or just your family trail horse. Sane without lunging, even after MONTHS off and virtually perfect on the ground!! Could go youth horse with his sane nature, but tall and substantial enough to be a 'husband's horse'...
On a midwest working farm he has experienced more things than your typical barn horse ever will... wildlife- deer, turkey and pheasants in the pastures, large farm implements, cattle, donkeys, goats, semi trucks and trailers. He's immune to traffic, loud noises and boisterous activities. Trailers as though he was born there, and ties quietly to stand all day if needed.
Has been rode out to check cattle and fences, done some open horse shows, and weekend trail rides, but with a young son in tow, I haven't had the time like I'd hope, to develop him into the dressage horse I'd like to have. In a short time, we've managed to work 1st level and school second, but no time to show, or work in a consistant manner, he's been mostly just a reliable family horse. Second time saddled this season (trail ride), he was rode by a 13 year old novice rider. He's smart, good work ethic, tries hard/ learns quickly, and absolutely enjoys human contact and interaction.
Barefoot with very nice hooves. UTD on everything. This guy is extremely healthy and ready to go to work. Email for details-Picts and Video (arena and trail footage) available. (details)
