We feel Colonel is likely a Saddlebred cross (possibly National Show Horse). He is appox. 15 hands tall. Good ground manners. Leads, ties, trailers, etc. Neck reins, backs, tacks up well. Colonel is a former Amish horse and while we aren't sure, we think it's likely he's also broke to drive. He has a big walk and is very forward under saddle. Could be a fun English horse. He is a little buddy sour but can be convinced to ride out alone. Best suited to an intermediate rider on up. Colonel has a little bump on one knee but rides sound at all gaits. She is a very nice mare and is well broke to ride however she recently became blind in her left eye (due to an injury) and is still adjusting to it. She's nervous when asked to go through small spaces (doorways, gates). She tacks up well and we've ridden her briefly twice now with no issues under saddle. We haven't had time to take her down the road yet but plan to do so when we have time. Mattie seems to be most comfortable when ridden with another horse at this time, we think it's just going to take a little while for her confidence to come back due to her sight loss.
