I am wanting to trade 1,2, or 3 for a good bombproof trail horse for a teenager. Has to go bareback, and good with other horses. 5-15 years old, 14-16 hands. Spring Lyric, aka Chester is a big 16.2 gelding puppy dog. When you walk up he whinnies at you and comes straight to the gate.He is off the track but he is sound. hasnt been worked with a lot, previous owner didnt do anything with him for over a year, and i just bought him in october, intending him to be a teenagers show horse, but we've lost interest in showing and thats where he needs to be. He has wonderful ground manners, leads,ties,loads, stands for grooming without even being tied! stands to be hosed down ect. Rides bareback. He just has a lot of energy and needs someone to actually do something with him. I wanted to show and i thought he would be perfect, but i just dont want to anymore and he is great for it, just needs the training for whatever your gonna do but that wont take very long. Hi im 14 years old, will be 15 in Feb. I have been riding since i was 3, english and western lessons, and i want to give young kids or teenagers or anyone lessons on how to ride becuase i remember being younger and i hated going to a barn with other students and adult instructors because they just didnt really get how to treat a young kid, but then when my friend who was only about 3 years older then me starting teaching me how to ride i had the best time of my life. english, or western, i have a paso Fino gelding 14 hands, nice little gelding if they are scared of the big horses, also there is a 15.2 mare coming tomorrow that they could learn on and im going to be getting a 16.2 gelding, in a couple weeks so they can graduate from horse to horse, i remember graduating it was fun. I can teach them how to groom and saddle up, everything. Also my paso fino is for lease so if they wanted a horse to call their own and you dont want to pay all the crazy costs its only $50 a month. not including lessons. there is no schedule or crazy times, i have school and band practice so its whenever we schedule it. Also i play cello and flute, so i can give lessons on those. its a good price too, $10 for 30 minutes to an hour, however much time we need in that particular lesson, minimum of 30 minutes so they get as much time as they need. we are going to be having a horse fun day, not sure the date yet,and we are still getting ideas for different things to do, but we want to have a raffle, and some things for prizes, so if anyone wanted to donate any kind of horse item, even if it is falling apart let me know, we are raising money for two teens who got accepted to go to Japan next summer with the People To People Ambassador Program, the tuition for each kid is over $6000 so they both need to raise that much and a little more for spending money, the baggage costs ect. we are going to have a horse and tack auction, anyone is welcome, a raffle, possibly a obstacle course, and some little games for prizes, maybe some local bands, maybe some pony rides, ect. If you have any ideas for us to raise money, or want to donate any equipment, or your time, it is greatly needed.we are going to need volunteers to man the concessions stand, to deal with parking, to help with the games, and the raffle and such.
