Zipper is a two year old APHA sorrel gelding. This boy is SUPER quiet and very easy to handle. Zip has got nothing but pleasure bloodlines and this guy is really going to go places for someone that has the time to put into him, Simonsational, Norfleet, and Zippo Pine Bare bred! Easy keeper, good trailer loader, clips, bathes, bridles and saddles while ground tied. This boy has now got thirty rides on him and can already extend and collect each gait, trot figure eights, give to the bit and now has a good start for a head set, and he knows his leads very well. Very collected jog and SUPER smooth canter. After having only twenty rides on him I took him to the Kendall County Open show and he made the call back for open walk trot with 36 riders in it! He also placed 6th in womens western pleasure with 22 riders, and that's with only 20 rides on him! He has been trail ridden past cows, heavy traffic, combine tractors, ridden over bridges, ridden down mainstreet of Tiskilwa and has had dogs run up on him out of nowhere on trails and still remains super quiet! I would love to keep this boy to myself to show, I know he will be a guarenteed placer, but being a breeding farm all of our geldings are for sale. Smoke is a two year old APHA registered stud colt and is absolutely GORGEOUS! He is a sorrel overo with rock solid conformation and a lot of muscling. Bolt is a three year old APHA registered gelding. He was bred and raised on our farm and has a pedigree that is out of this world for a Hunter Under Saddle prospect- check out his pedigree attached to this add! He goes back to the great Hunter Under Saddle stallions Classical Iron and Iron Rebel on his dams side and his sire is a 16.1 hand black overo paint with pleasure horse bloodline going back to Simonsational and Norfleet! Bolt is a minimal white sorrel paint with four even socks and a bolt on the side of his face which makes him a registered paint. He is a very willing worker and clips, bathes,lounges, bridles, and saddles with no problems. I have now put about 30 rides on him and he stays very relaxed under saddle. Long strided and low headed at the trot and this boy has got a canter on him that will make you smile from ear to ear- he is super smooth and candenced! This girl has got a stride that is out of this world, very fluid with minimal knee and hock action. I've been showing this girl fairly consistently in hunter under saddle and halter classes and we have yet to enter a show and not place. Lonnie is very easy to work with and has actually done quite a few lessons for me and is wonderful with the kids. She is very safe and super quiet. I have a 10 year old student showing her and at their last show they placed 1st for 12 and under walk trot in a class of 18 older well seasoned show horses! English and Western riding lessons are taught year around at Spotted Acres by trainer Liz Haben. Liz has been teaching for seven years and holds a degree in both modern horse technology and equine sciences from Black Hawk College. At Spotted Acres beginners through advanced riders will learn not just how to ride but how to be true horseman. Lessons emphasize proper riding position, handling, horse care, and most of all safety while learning in a fun atmosphere. Riding lessons may be purchased individually or lesson packages may be purchased at a discounted rate.

Spotted Acres was established in 1997 by the owners Denny and Gina Dever of Tiskilwa Illinois. The farm offers breeding and sales of quality Appaloosa, Paint, and Quarter Horses and also offers English and Western riding lessons taught by Liz Haben. The farms breeding program is based upon the farms two Paint Horse stallions, Dukes Lonestar & War Dance Impression. The facilities include an indoor arena with lighting and shredded rubber footing,outdoor round pen with sand, heated tack room, 12x12 stalls, 30 acres of property, 15 acres of pasture, dry lots with run in sheds, heated automatic waterers, trails on the property as well as in the surrounding area.
