Located in Shawnee KS we offer boarding and training as well as lessons. We have full service stall boarding and pasture boarding. Our outdoor area is always open for use and will be getting a 'face lift' spring of '08. We start colts as well as train yearlings and season already broke horses. Basic riding lessons are avaliable spring thru fall. We also have horses for sale most of the time. Gleason Stables is a 'small barn,with big heart'. We are honest people who treat our clients and their horses with the respect they deserve.

Colt starting, training and lessons in USA/Canada

At Gleason Stables we start colts right; gentle and quiet. We start in the round pen with a variety of ground work teaching them trust, respect and cues. Moving on to accepting a saddle then rider. We have started fillies, geldings and studs ranging from quiet and gentle to hard headed and lazy to strong willed and high strung. The breeds we have trained include: Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Arabian/Percheron, Half-Arabian, Trakehner/Thoroughbreds. All horses are started western we do not do english. At Gleason Stables we offer the following for boarding: Pasture boarding $100per month includes hay in winter. Stall board $250per month includes 12% feed, hay, salt&mineral. Horses turned out daily.
