This mare is fun to ride, neck reins and has a good handle. She has a light mouth and if ridden by someone heavy handed does better in a plain ring snaffle, but will ride in a shank bit as well. She came from a cutting trainer in SC and is sired by NCHA money earner Dual Honey Lena, a son of Dual Pep. This mare has a good handle, neck reins, and is very broke. She is much easier going on the trail than in the ring (fine in the ring, but more willing to pick up the pace there) and will work a cow, but hasn't been asked to do much other than herd them. <br><br>No buck or rear, anyone can ride. Raven is an extremely loving, quiet natured filly (will be 4 yrs old in the spring) who has been trail ridden for the past year. Not a "cowboy's horse" and I would rather her go to a low key, trail riding family. She would also make a cute large pony hunter/jumper. She has been ridden English and western, on the roads around traffic, through creeks and on some steep mountain rides. Good w/t/c, is a little on the lazy side, soft mouth and is learning to neck rein. She has been shod on all four and did excellent.<br><br>She's always the first to greet you in the pasture and she has no vices. She gets along fairly well with all her pasturemates and is good with other livestock and dogs. Not spooky at all--going to make a great youth horse. "Peps Bit" is a 17 yr old AQHA mare who's been both a riding horse and a broodmare. She is OPEN for your choice of stallion in 09 or to ride.<br><br>Anyone who wants an easy going, spook-free horse should take a look at this girl. She had some cutting training early on, but has mostly been a trail horse, and is a bit rusty on the finer things. She neck reins okay (sometimes may have to remind her with direct rein) and backs well. She's sound and has no problems with her feet or legs and just had her teeth floated. She's great around traffic, goes through water, used to 4-wheelers and tractors. NO bucking, rearing, running off, does not kick or bite. Goes off alone with no problems. Pretty much anyone who can steer can ride her.<br><br>She is easy to catch and load and has also been ridden in English tack. Nice 17 month old draft/TB filly, very easy going, a big sweetie. She is always happy to come up in the field and loves being brushed and fussed over. She is very quiet and gentle, no kicking/biting or other vices, and would be safe for a young or timid person to handle. <br><br>She was a little thinner than I like when I got her but she's really filling out now, and is on a good feed/deworming program. Just trimmed and good for the farrier; loads onto a small two horse very well so a larger trailer would be no problem for her either. <br><br>She is a nice mover and has good bone and feet. Would be a great English prospect or western. <br><br>Sound, no vices, vet checks welcome! Will probably mature in the 15.1 hand range. Good home only.
