Blackshire is a full service boarding, training, lesson, breeding and sales facility specializing in all-breed competitive dressage. We are located approximately 20 minutes SE of St. Paul; 45 minutes north of Rochester; 15 minutes from Northfield, Farmington or Hastings. We offer box stall boarding, paddock board (near the buildings) and pasture boarding. We are an almost 100 acre facility with riding on the property; 75 x 150 indoor arena with new footing and a 100 x 200 outdoor. We offer for box stall horses group, semi-private or private turnout in very large paddocks with safe three rail split rail fencing or four board oak fenced paddocks. We have two very qualified instructors who work with all ages and levels of riders in dressage (and beginner jumping)and we provide schooling horses, tack, grooming supplies and even helmets - all you need to bring for lessons is you! We are an all purpose facility with many young sporthorse prospects available for sale, stallions at stud and we offer several on site schooling shows per year. At Blackshire Equestrian located approximately 20 minutes SE of St. Paul we offer several experienced horse trainers that are qualified and competent to start your young horse in any and all genres, condition your horse that has been sitting in a pasture or finish your started horse into a competitive dressage horse. Our trainers have 15-20 years experience and have national credentials in showing. Horses in training can be kept in paddock board or box stall board. We also offer horses needing lay up with leg work or hand walking necessary - our professional has several years of racetrack TB experience and is comfortable handling TB's off of the track and has extensive knowledge in handling leg work. We also offer veterinary services on site with a vet in house a minimum of M/W/F as well as extensive breeding facility experience. We always have a variety of young prospects available for sale (Friesian sporthorse, Irish sporthorse, Gypsy horses and others), as well as riding horses available.

Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Lessons in USA/Canada

We are full service lesson, training, boarding and breeding facility located in SE Minnesota approximately 20 minutes from St. Paul. We have two very experienced trainers. Mindy Price our full time instructor and trainer gives lessons Mon-Saturday to beg. intermediate to advanced riders primarily in dressage. Lisa Slagel is an excellent youth and amateur instructor who gives lessons on the weekends (primarily on Sundays all day). Mindy's lessons are primarily private and Lisa gives private, semi private and small group lessons. We provide school horses, tack and helmets - all you need to do is bring yourself. We have heated lounges and an indoor riding arena for all weather riding. On site schooling shows, trailering options to go to outside shows and on site clinics are available as well. Both trainers are also excellent riders and also train horses.
